Remediation of contaminated sites
Our approach consists of tackling the contaminated site remediation challenge based on an in-depth analysis of alternatives for the purpose of selecting the most effective and worthwhile solutions whilst reducing waste generation. Talantia defines itself as a problem-solver.
However, the mere design and implementation of a remediation system is not sufficient to clean up affected subsoil. Ongoing monitoring of the clean-up process is also required in order to adjust the process based on the results obtained over time. This avoids extending the duration of work, which could result in increased costs and frustrated expectations for the entire team.
Some of the “in situ”, “on-site” and “off-site” remediation techniques we have used at various sites include:
- Soil Vapour Extraction
- Air sparging
- Groundwater pumping and treatment
- Excavation and management of soil and waste
- Biopiles
- Soil washing
- In situ chemical oxidation (ISCO)
- In situ chemical reduction (ISCR)
- Surfactants
- Bioremediation
In addition, Talantia is in the process of developing applications that involve new treatment technologies in order to offer more complete, effective and affordable solutions to our clients.
